Today in History April 6th

April 6th 1917: The United States enters world war I. World War I had almost been going on for 3 years when the United States finally entered. It was known as the great war and Woodrow Wilson pushed the United States to enter to "fight a war to End all Wars" and hoped to create a more international(not isolated) United States.

Impeachment Talk

There has been much emailing recently(in liberal blogs and mass emails) about impeaching President Bush. Now while I agree with the concept of impeaching a president who ignores the balance of power and the constitution I feel that to impeach the President for reasons like that I think that we are treading down a slippery slope.

In the past the worthy impeachment(Nixon) revolved around not only ignoring the power of Congress and the Courts but also serious lapse in ethical conduct on the part of Richard Nixon( the whole obstruction of Justice episode in the early days of the Watergate break in)

President Bush while he has certainly weaken the Constitution has done so only because the Republican controlled congress has allowed him to do so because they were so intent on creating a permanent GOP majority they were willing to allow Bush to use his bully pulpit to preach fear of Democrats and the rule of law. If anything certain congressmen should be impeached.

No Bush is a poor president as I stated in my previous post he will probably go down as one of the worst but in no way has any thing he done(that we know of ) been truly worthy of impeachment. The Democrats should leave the political(unjustified) impeachments to the GOP

Historical Presidents.

So I have been having this conversation with my friend about the historical view of the now current President Bush. The question is this. Does he know that unless things dramatically and quickly change in Iraq Bush will go down in history as one of the worst most ineffective presidents. Even if things do improve in Iraq he will in no way be counted amongst the best or even good. He might if he is lucky be counted as average. More on this later

Karl Rove "Worst Rapper Ever"

So I have returned from a long hiatus to show to all the horrid antics of Bush and Co. The Turd Blossom is at his "finest" in this video.
I can't decide what is worse Rove actually rapping or the people in the audience clapping and laughing with it.
